Writing Wrongs: Using Language Analysis to Improve Access to Justice

Someone has been the victim of a language crime, and we need your help to get justice!

Join us for this immersive event where you will question what is meant by ‘grossly offensive’, critique some legal language, identify the writer of an anonymous text, discover the techniques police use during interview, build a case for the defence or prosecution, or deliberate on a case and deliver the final verdict!

Uncover the multiple ways an understanding of language can help at all stages of the legal process.
