The Evolve Weight Loss community celebrated a momentous occasion with its first anniversary Summer Ball on June 28th at the Holiday Inn, Bromsgrove. The event, attended by members, families and supporters, marked a year of incredible transformations and community support, while also raising £1,200 for two local charities, Birmingham Hospice and St Richards Hospice.

The Summer Ball was a milestone event for Evolve Weight Loss, commemorating its first anniversary. The weight loss programme has helped hundreds of slimmers achieve their slimming and health goals in just one year, fostering a supportive and motivating community. The anniversary celebration was a testament to the hard work, dedication and success of its members.

The Holiday Inn, Bromsgrove transformed into a haven of glamour for the evening. As guests arrived, they were greeted by a red carpet, capturing the glitz and excitement as everyone donned their finest attire. The function room shimmered with Evolve decorations, vibrant red balloons, and exquisitely set tables added to the ambience. The atmosphere was electric, buzzing with anticipation and delight.
Celebrating Achievements
The Summer Ball was more than just a social event; it was a celebration of the remarkable achievements of the Evolve Weight Loss community. Attendees shared their incredible weight loss journeys during the cocktail hour, creating a sense of camaraderie and mutual support.

No celebration is complete without delicious food, and the Summer Ball delivered! The menu, carefully crafted by the talented chefs at the Holiday Inn, Bromsgrove, featured a variety of gourmet dishes that catered to every palate.
Giving Back to the Community
A key highlight of the evening was the fundraising efforts for local charities. Through raffles and generous donations, the event raised £1,200 for Birmingham Hospice and St Richard’s Hospice. These charities provide essential support and care to individuals and families in need and the funds raised will help them continue their vital work in the community.
Birmingham Hospice
Birmingham Hospice provides expert, specialist and compassionate palliative and end-of-life care to around 800 patients on average every day. In order to fund its services, this year, the charity must raise £6.5 million from fundraising activity, income from its shops and voluntary donations. Luke Manley, Corporate Fundraising Manager at Birmingham Hospice, said:
“Birmingham Hospice is currently in a funding crisis with costs continually rising and a shortfall of government funding. We’re so grateful to Evolve for choosing us as one of the charities to support at their Summer Ball.
“Their generous donation will help support local people living with a terminal diagnosis, and their families. Fundraising really is more important than ever to ensure the hospice will be here for everyone who needs us in the future – thank you.”

St. Richard’s Hospice
St Richard’s Hospice is an independent charity offering free, expert care for adults with an illness that cannot be cured, and support for their loved ones and carers.
Each year the hospice team supports more than 3,100 patients, family members and bereaved people in Worcestershire. It will cost in the region of £12m to run the hospice this year, which includes patient care and all the necessary support services.
St Richard’s relies on voluntary support, including from donations, gifts in Wills, retail and events for the majority of its income with the remainder funded by the NHS.
