We Clean, one of Birmingham’s leading commercial cleaning service providers, have announced that Peter Lloyd has been named the 2024 recipient of the prestigious Dee Richards Pride Champion Award, the highest recognition an individual can receive within the organisation.

Peter Lloyd, Team Leader for We Clean’s Arcadian Estate Cleaning Contract in central Birmingham, was honoured for his unwavering dedication and resilience in delivering exceptional service excellence, particularly through personal tragedy.

“What Peter has achieved this year on site at The Arcadian given the tragic personal loss of his dear son Ryan is unbelievable,” said a We Clean representative. “Our admiration for Pete has no bounds. He is a consummate gentleman who takes his role incredibly seriously, taking real pride in making the Arcadian Estate a clean and safe place for the people of Birmingham to enjoy.”

Lloyd, who has worked at the Arcadian Estate since 2016 and joined We Clean in 2020, has been instrumental in maintaining the mixed-use estate that features restaurants and entertainment venues. His responsibilities include managing waste recycling, coordinating pressure washing schedules, and ensuring the cleanliness of both parking and central restaurant areas.

Now in its ninth year, the annual Pride Awards programme serves as a lasting memorial to “Dee” Richards, who epitomised We Clean’s unique ethos of service excellence and commitment to clients.
